Mission
By putting people and their stories first, we want to be catalysts of a positive change, taking on the responsibility to support as we can those who come from situations of conflict and chronic vulnerability.
Together with physical reconstruction and the support of basic needs, we believe it is essential to work on the reconstruction of the social fabric and of people's lives within the communities themselves, in order to consolidate psychological and emotional well-being.
Vision
We believe in a society that knows how to treasure differences that populates it, and in which each person is guaranteed the access to the tools necessary to strengthen their skills and interests, to consolidate their best chance of life.
Our history
From 2009, Associazione Realmonte, created in memory of Professor Francesco Realmonte, professor of Civil Law at the Catholic University of Sacred Heart of Milan, works side by side with operators and social workers, training them to become resilience guardians.
In Italy, we offer our support to people with international protection, facilitating access to services and opportunities that strengthen their skills and can help them enhance them.
Abroad, we work in countries affected by wars and environmental disasters, or in conditions of chronic poverty and vulnerability.
Through training courses and workshops studied by RIRES, Research Center on Resilience of the Catholic University, we act so that people know how to revive their resilience capacity, to transform pain into a new starting point.
